History
[edit]Campione d'Italia
[edit]In Campione d'Italia, Ingeborg Henze-Ketterer and Wolfgang Henze founded the Galleria Henze in 1970. This specialized in prints of German Expressionism, German Abstraction of the 1950s and by living artists. In close cooperation with the Roman Norbert Ketterer Gallery, which was also run in the Italian exclave by their father and father-in-law respectively, the gallery showed exhibitions and published catalogs of artworks by the artists represented. Together they also managed the copyrights of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and kept an archive of the artist's works.
Wichtrach near Bern
[edit]This activity is continued since 1993, expanded, in Wichtrach. For this purpose, the "Galerie Henze & Ketterer AG", organized in the legal form of a stock corporation, was founded. In Wichtrach, exhibitions on the represented artists are also organized, accompanied by extensive catalogs of offers. The gallery building covers an exhibition area of about 600 square meters on three floors, where usually three different exhibitions are shown. Other exhibitions can be shown in the art depot designed by Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, the architects of the Kirchner Museum Davos, which is located directly between the gallery building and the main street. The gallery regularly participates in international art fairs, such as Art Cologne, The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) in Maastricht and Art Karlsruhe, and maintains several artists' archives, in particular that of German Expressionist and Brücke artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
Riehen near Basel
[edit]Since 2005, the branch managed by Alexandra Henze Triebold and Marc Triebold, Galerie Henze & Ketterer & Triebold Riehen, also hosts exhibitions on the artists and artist groups represented. This was created by the merger of Galerie Triebold, active since 1986 in Basel, later Rheinfelden, and Galerie Henze & Ketterer Wichtrach/Bern.

Part of the archive is also the complete literature by and about the artist and his work. Furthermore, the task of the archive is to clarify questions of authenticity.
