Please express your feeling on the request for deletion of the Serbophobia article: [1]. While one side claims that the article was created as a "responce" to anti-Serbian propaganda and is in accordance to the other anti-ethnic terms; while the other side claims that the phrase isn't actually in usage and that it is (Greater) Serbian propaganda. Vote whatever you think is most appropriate... HolyRomanEmperor 11:51, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

V in Croatian

[edit]

Re my phonologic edits on Croatian language: I won't insist on my version, but since the table is copied from Serbo-Croatian language, I suggest that the discussion is continued at that article's talk page. I doubt it's a phonological difference between our languages, but it might be so. The sources are contradicting though. Duja 12:33, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have that in mind. Thank you for your warning.

Provjerio sam genealogije Ivana Gudnulica; on ima srpsko porijeklo, ali se prica zavrsava tu (nista osim porijekla). A za Rudjera Boskovica, molim te nemoj otvarati stare rane. Translation Help

I'm wondering if you could do a quick translation for me of Stevan Hristic on the Croatian wikipedia [2] into English. Or, if you have no time, can you direct me to someone who would do a quick translation into English? Thanks. Antidote 16:23, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Acusations, Rudjer Boskovic and Lika

[edit]

You should, for a change; look for sources from now on. Please bear in mind that wikipedia is a free encyclopedia and not your own private ownership; also, please restrain yourself from making edits that are actually nationalist propaganda like on Lika and Rudjer Boskovic. You have also not reasons for sneakly removing sources and prominent individuals from Serbs of Croatia. Please be more careful in the future. Thanks you. --HolyRomanEmperor 13:59, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

House of Boshko

[edit]

You appear to be edit warring the article House of Boshko. Instead of reverting changes, think about leaving the version you don't like in tact, and then discussing why it should be changed. Remember to cite sources. You haven't violated it yet, but keep in mind the Three revert rule policy. Have a nice day! --Commander Keane 03:24, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

Hi Elephantus. I've just discovered the range of articles on which you (and others) are determinedly editwarring.

Can I encourage you please to stop this now, and engage on the various talk pages? I can find very little evidence of this having been tried with any determination. Edit wars, especially the dry, sterile type here are disruptive to the usual functioning of Wikipedia and when conducted on so many fronts at once cause an unnecessary degree of wasted time and effort by all involved.

You seem to stay carefully inside the three revert rule, but I'd like to encourage you, in the strongest possible terms, to stick to a much higher standard than that. I wonder if I can help those you disagree with reach any kind of agreement? Warring on so many articles has got to stop, and pretty much immediately. Thanks. I'm going to leave similar notes with Asim Led and Nikola Smolenski too, as they also appear to be reverting on more than one article — I hope it does not come to me having to construct electric fences with blocks, but we should be clear that such an option must be considered, and considered very soon. Thanks. -Splashtalk 23:15, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Elephantus. Further to my message above, and your message on the mentioned talk page, I've written a note to you and Nikola Smolenski about how I'd like to proceed with working through the article. The section of disputed text is quite short, and I'm hopeful that, with an understanding that we're going to have to tolerate each other, we can work something out. I'd ideally like to finish up with a paragraph that presents both your viewpoint and Nikola's in robustly referenced ways. That way, everybody should be able to agree that somebody else actually said what is being claimed, without having to agree to it actually being correct of them so to say. Anyway, read my message at Talk:Rudjer Boscovich and see what you can do. In the spirit of moving forwards, I'd ask that you not revert the page again until we've completed this discussion. I'm going to leave Nikola Smolenski a similar message. Please do bear with the discussion; continued editwarring has got to stop, I'm sure you'll agree. Thanks. -Splashtalk 03:26, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uzet ću to u obzir. --VKokielov 02:27, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lastovo Article

[edit]

Hello elephantus. I am new to wikipedia. I noticed on the Lastovo article you objected because of some POV problems in the history section. I agree with this and have argued against them, but user HolyRomanEmperor seems to be pushing a serbian agenda. Anyway if you have some time i would like some input, especially as to why you objected, maybe you could help me counter this or help me find someone who will remove some of this propaganda. Sometimes i hate how wiki is so easy to abuse. Hvala Uvouvo 00:19, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, me again. If you get some free time please check out the Lastovo article. It is a lot different from when you voted last time, and i would be interested in hearing your opinion, and any tips you would offer would be great. I spent a fair bit of time re-writing this article, and i think it is much better now. Its back up as a FAC. Uvouvo 12:15, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Now, I'm not trying to be insultive, but could you try to solve at least one of the disputes that you open? I mean, couldn't you at least explain, like on Talk:Serbian Lands. The article might get deleted, if its doesn't supplements sources, naturally. You said I'm sticking a Totallydisputed tag here. Well don't. Solve the problems, tags are there to prevent editing during an ongoing discussion.

P. S. Why are you so harshly strangely aggressive? Pushing will get you nowhere. :O) You said see recent attempts at deleting Serbian nationalistic drivel that were defeated by mobilization of Serbian "voters" from sr.wiki and elsewhere

No, really, you gotta improve your attitude. It's really becoming hostile. :) --HolyRomanEmperor 20:41, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing content

Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to Tourism in Croatia. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Primadol 10:08, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Content dispute is not vandalism, I'm afraid. --Elephantus 10:11, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Removing valid material is vandlism. Please read wikipedia policies. The content that you dislike cannot be removed on basis of that, as Jimbo Wales has stated himself. Also, refrain form personal attacks WP:NPA
Read WP:NPOV and then come back. Also a bit of WP:NOT. And refrain form personal attacks yourself. --Elephantus 10:14, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am not making personal attacks. Wikipedia policies are clear, WP:NPOV clearly states what to do with disputed content and removal is not it. Please read the policies CAREFULLY! Primadol 10:17, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Using capital letters in on-line discussions is impolite, as it is often likened to shouting in the real world. --Elephantus 10:20, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I ask viewers of this page an the User in here to ignore Primadol's edits. If this strange warning is to be taken seriously, the history of the Tourism in Croatia article has to be viewed as well as these two users' contributions. --HolyRomanEmperor 16:31, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool Down

Please deal with other contributions in a polite and constructive manner. Rude behavior is discouraged by Wikipedia policies. See Wikipedia:Civility. Thank you. Regards, Asterion 14:43, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elephantus, the user Asterion is talented in irritating whomever does not agree with him/her. This is a tactic he uses to make wikipedians abandon the sites he likes editing. I would advice you to disregard his/her inflammatory comments. I've been a victim of these kind of attacks for some time now. It was disturbing until I decided to ignore this person completely. And yes, he interferes in all sorts of sensitive subjects. I guess he/she lacks attention and this way finds people who oppose him gladly. Ilir pz 20:43, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Please stop

[edit]
I'll chill off, naturally, thank you for the warning. But you must admit: your actions are getting very near to those of an internet troll. But only 5,6 of us (for now) think that, so do not take this seriously, but neither take it for granted. Please note that you have been constantly edit warring and tagging around the Wiki. Why would you keep up doing that? --HolyRomanEmperor 18:43, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've explained everything by now (including the fact that my two brothers sometimes use this account), and I think that if one views our two contribution lists, he/she will conclude that you're not really the right person (for the time being, imrpovement soon, perhaps?) to judge whether I am POV or NPOV; I'm afraid eleph :). Anyway, if you're here to continue some arguements instead of changing, than there's nothing that I can really do. Good luck, chump! --HolyRomanEmperor 19:14, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
recently laying low? switching to Croatian wikipedia? heh... this is really getting funny. But, if you really think that you cannot talk, then I guess goodbye! I'll try to stay off your trail, but it won't be easy if you fire a too many fires. :))) --HolyRomanEmperor 19:35, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Werner Herzog no Croation

[edit]

Werner Herzog background is Serbian. Worked with him on set of Cobra Verde and Nosferatu - not sure where you get your info but he is definitely no Croation. Actually he often criticized the Croats for their "fascist dancing" with the Nazis.

Salvatore Basile

A rather interesting POV remark, yet with not subsantial sources. --HolyRomanEmperor 19:11, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First person witness is not a reliable source? I suppose you have evidence that Werner does not know about. Have you known him for 21 years as I have? Salvatore

Look, place yourself in our position. Would you believe if some annonimous wikipedian arrives here and says that he knows Donald Trump for 40 years, claiming that he's an ethnic Russian? What would the world be if we just blanty believed everything? (sorry Eleph for using your talk page to discuss). --HolyRomanEmperor 17:00, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Srpsko-hrvatski

[edit]

Onako kako sam ja shvatio, Hrvati i Srbi govore istim jezikom. Naime, ako gledaš kako govori neki Slavonac, to je puno bliže govoru nekog Srbina iz Šumadije nego viškom čakavskom dijalektu.

Međutim, Hrvati imaju drukčiji književni jezik od Srba. Hrvati imaju Hrvatski, a Srbi Srpski i tu dolazi do razlike.

Ispravi me ako griješim.

Unspecified source for Image:Andric_bucharest.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Andric_bucharest.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC).
