I am a student at Rice University studying political science and Latin American studies. I will spend the next semester editing the article "Corruption in Mexico," which will entail revising existing sections to include more thorough, connected information on the entry's topic.

I will begin by adding the new sections: "PRI rule," "Economic Inequality/Inequity," and "Organized Crime/Drug Trafficking." PRI rule will look at Mexico's consolidation of power, patronage networks, and democratization. Economic Inequality/Inequity will be focused on disparity and the distribution of resources. Organized Crime/Drug Trafficking will center on border issues and elected officials/prominent figures (specifically the administrations of Calderón and Peña Nieto).

These new sections will absorb the existing sections "In law enforcement" and "In the judiciary," and I will delete the existing sections "Case Studies" and "Anti-Corruption activities."
