Hendon Town Hall was designed by T.H. Watson, and built in 1901, and in 1929, was extended at the rear. In 1979, as a new Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher made her first appearance and speech there. The "Family of Man" a sculpture by Itzhak Ofer, was unveiled at the front in 1981.[1]
The architect was T H Watson, and it was built in red brick and stone in a pre-Renaissance style, with two storeys and three bays either side of the doorway.[2]
Today, it forms part of Middlesex University.[3]
