Craig Macfarlane - Trade Shows and Conferences in Australia

Craig Macfarlane [1] is an Australian businessman well-known in the B2B meetings and events industry. Macfarlane founded Association & Comminications Events (ACEvents[2]) in 2003. In 2015 ACEvents was acquired by global events organiser, Terrapinn Limited. Under the ACEvents brand, Macfarlane launched many of Australia's largest annual trade shows, including EduTECH[3][4][5], Tech in Gov Expo[6], Australian Roads Summit, Australian Rail Summit, National Roads & Traffic Expo[7] and Connect Expo. After selling ACEvents to global events organiser, Terrapinn, he was responsible for launching Vet Expo[8] and Solar & Storage Live[9] [10]and overseeing the acquisition of Accounting Business Expo[11] and NoVacancy[12] from National Media[13]. Macfarlane departed Terrapinn in mid-2024 to pursue other interests. He has a passion for sustainability and produced sustainability and carbon trading events as far back as 2008 (see Australian Emmissions Trading Congress 2008[14].
