The European Takeover Directive ("Directive 2004/25/EC of the european parliament and of the council of 21 April 2004 on takeover bids") is a EU Directive dealing with takeovers of companies whose shares are listed on a stock exchange. It is applicable in all EU member states, as well as in the additional EEA countries.
