Synopsis
[edit]Rachel Moeltz (Rachel Trachtenberg) is a 16-year-old girl in the suburbs of Toronto who dreams of emulating her Japanese pop star idol, Ayumi Takanawa (Reni Mimura). Parents and peers seek to do away with Rachel's manga-fied looks in anticipation of her high school's annual Snow Ball dance. Rachel has other plans, however, and buys a ticket to see Ayumi in concert in Toronto, where a chance encounter between Rachel and Ayumi is brought about by reality TV show EAT IT! host Banner (Richard Jordan).[3]
