Still Corners are a dream-pop band based in London, England. Current members our Greg Hughes (keyboards), Leon Dufficy (guitar), Tessa Murray (vocals), Paul Mayhew (drums), and Luke Jarvis (bass).
The band's style is a mixture of pop combined with choir-girl vocals, old film-music samples, reverbed drums, and 1960's-influenced production. They are influenced by British electronic group Broadcast as well as Italian film composer Ennio Morricone. Although similiar in style, Still Corners music often has a more dreamy, wall-of-sound feel.
History
[edit]The band's first release came in January 2008 with the self-released 6 track E.P. Remember Pepper?. They attracted the attention of record labels Fierce Panda and Great Pop Supplement, releasing a yearly compilation and 7 inch vinyl record in 2010.
The band are a regular feature on the London music scene, playing with such acts as Fanfarlo, Hush Arbors, and Je Suis Animal.
