I'm a scientist and ex-musician with a longstanding interest in perception psychology. These interests have taken me on a quest to understand the mysterious phenomenon called music, and its deeper connections not only with mathematics but also with what I like to call "lucidity principles". One spinoff is a fresh view of what's involved in communication skills and in ergonomics. Included are writing skills and the art of designing user-friendly websites.

A central theme in the book is the way perception works -- as informed by experimental psychology -- and the resulting insights into the disinformation industry and into the climate crisis.
