Ed Isenberg was a journalist between 1971 and 1980, specializing in investigative reporting. He worked for newspapers (including one year as News Editor of the Isla Vista Town Crier), wire services, news magazines, and radio & television stations (the latter including the CBS affiliates in Albuquerque, NM and Little Rock, AR).

Starting in 1980 Isenberg began a career in computer software development and computer software & hardware marketing management. In 1980 he started as a software programmer, and over the next 10 years held positions such as Vice President of Software Marketing and 100 million dollar (sales) companies and Director of Marketing Support for Oracle, at the time a 1 billion dollar (sales) corporation.

In December of 1990 he developed the illness Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (aka CFS or CFIDS), which left him totally disabled. He was able to continue doing charitable work, and started the CompuServe support group for CFS. He built the Albuquerque CFIDS Association which grew into the CFIDS Association of New Mexico. He served on the Board of Directors of the CFIDS Association of America for five years.

Isenberg has lived in 7 states (MA, NH, CA, TX, NM, AR, and FL). He has traveled through 46 states and seven foreign countries (including Australia and New Zealand). He is also a private pilot, having flown both single and twin-engine propeller-driven aircraft as well as helicopters. He no longer flies due to his illness. He continued his lifelong dedication to volunteer work by founding and being President of the Rio Grande Astronomical Society 2007-2010.

Ed Isenberg just completed his first novel: "Federation of Peoples: The Guardians." He is currently searching for a literary agent and publisher of this first book in a science fiction trilogy.
