I live in Upstate New York, and teach physics at a university there. However, I seem to be making quite a few of my edits in poetry. Of course I'm also interested in science and scientists, but I spend most of my days engaged with these. I tend to be a bit provincial in my choices of subjects for editing: the splendid poet Carl Dennis lives and teaches in Buffalo, New York, and Joseph Henry - in many ways the equal of Michael Faraday as a 19th Century physicist - did his most extraordinary work in Albany. I've done quite a bit of work on the Solvay process article - for no better reason than my own proximity to Solvay, New York, which was the site of the first (and last) Solvay process plant in North America.
