Proposal Topic Interests[edit]

I am considering contributing to “Homelessness in the United States". Listed below are the contributions I plan to make whilst working on this article as well as resources in which I would draw information from.

Homelessness in the United States is an issue well discussed on Wikipedia. However, there is more to be said concerning rehabilitation efforts as well as the opportunities and barriers in place that allow/hinder people to transition out of homelessness. This is what I want to expand on in my edit.

I would begin by discussing the statistics of people that leave homelessness and use that low statistic to launch discussion about research done concerning homeless shelters vs affordable housing to rehabilitate homeless people and keep poor people close to homelessness of the street. Listing alleviators of poverty an homelessness, I will talk about the difficulties the homeless have finding jobs and income and briefly the societal stigma that also poses as a barrier to the betterment of their situation. I may alter the order in which I arrange the points but I hope to address each of these things in the article.
