User:EBB/Länder/Extreme points
This page lists the extreme points I have visited (standing on land or being on a ship) on the several continents. Antarctica has not yet been visited.
Of course, for these purposes the definitions of the continents are quite important. As there are some difficulties in defining the borders between the continents, the extreme points of the continents visited can be ambiguous. Therefore, sometimes several points are given.

Notes
[edit]- ^ a b The notion of westernmost or easternmost points only makes sense until I have made a trip around the world.
- ^ a b The "Council of Europe" definition counts as European all countries that are members of the Council of Europe or that are undoubtedly European (e.g., Belarus). Territories in the vicinity of Europe that can be considered European from a traveller's perspective (e.g., territories that are included in the Schengen Area) count as European.
