Through the years Alberto's musical interest has developed and opened to all music genres without boundaries.
From a bass-oriented musical view Alberto Rigoni have been influenced by players like Michael Manring an American electric bassist from the San Francisco Bay Area; Doug Wimbish considered to be a pioneer in hip hop bass playing and in the use of bass effects, alternate tunings and extended hand techniques. Alberto got also influenced by Adam Nitti, Randy Coven (Ark, Steve Vai, Steve Morse) and other bass virtuoso.
Equipment
[edit]Alberto Rigoni played and performed live since 2004 with FBASS[12] especially a BN6 model that gave a unique sound to BASSex video clip. From 2009 to 2010 Alberto endorsed Elrick Bass Guitar[13] - Gold Series 6 string and Platinum Hybrid 5 strings that allowed Alberto to gain a more rich sound and personal touch to his music. To obtain a more personal sound added to his bass rig a custom 6 strings bass manufactured by Dingwall Guitar, the so-called Prima, a very flexible multi-scale instrument with fanned fret system. By that time Alberto also performed with a standard 5 strings Dingwall Guitar bass ABZ serie becoming an official [14] endorser in 2011. He loves to use [15] Hipshot Bass Xtender to achieve fast drop E-D tuning or a drop B-A tuning (on 6 strings bass). Due to heavy bass body and large 6 strings neck, serching for a comfortable balance on live stages and during hours of studio sessions he applied on each bass world's most famous and comfortable shoulder strap produced by Comfort Strapp and became official endorser in 2010. He endorses Ernie Ball Strings and Evidence Audio Cables [16]. Alberto Rigoni plays and endorses Aguilar[17] AG 500 (dual channel head) with Aguilar DB 410 cabinet plus Tone Hammer pedal. His equipment is completed by Sonuus universal bass to MIDI device and Peterson strobe tuners.
