Wikipedia style

This section is for reference to the aspects of wikipedia's style guides that I find most relevant.

Abbreviations

Avoid abbreviations. You need to do more to prove an abbreviation should be used than the default of writing in full. Do not make up abbreviations. This means using sourceable abbreviations, such as US, which is used as an abbreviation by the united states government: https://www.usa.gov/.

Categories

Every wikipedia article page should belong to at least one category. If a page fits better into a subcategory, do not also put the article in the parent category.

Italics

Quotation marks

Regional spelling

Sources

Use reliable secondary sources that accurately reflect current knowledge, like literature reviews, rather than using primary sources as a basis. Primary sources may be presented with secondary sources.
