Here is a list of references I use commonly in article editing and building. Links without exact references will typically provide access to groups of reference material.

General References

[edit]

US Census Bureau P.L. 94-171 County Maps

[edit]

For referencing locations in the US. See below for more exact examples, but the general format is as follows:

N.B:

  •

N.B:

  • Use "|page=" if the designation exists only in one county; remove otherwise.
  • Keep wikilink on "FDOT", unless another prior reference specifically refers to the acronym.

County Highway General Maps. Referenced as follows:

N.B:

  • Remember to check that all fields are valid in each "new" county map.
  • Check to see if there is a revision table and put latest version at "|edition=". "|year=" should be the original version.
  • Remove wikilink from FDOT if already present in references.

N.B:

  • For the ref name:
    • Use <ref name="SLD"> if there is only one diagram for the road.
    • Use <ref name="SLD1">, <ref name="SLD2">, etc. for multiple diagrams within one county.
    • Use <ref name="SLDxxxx"> if there is a single diagram in each county in turn, e.g. MiDa = Miami-Dade, Brow = Broward.

    • Use <ref name="SLDxxxx#.#"> for one-way sections of road, numbered with the decimal matching the last digit of the Roadway ID, e.g. Monr6.1, Monr6.2. Remove xxxx if in only one county, e.g. SLD.1, SLD1.1, SLD1.2, etc.
  • Use this table for the District number.
