I have lived in Sidcup, South-East London for over ten years, and previously in New Eltham for several years. I grew up in Loughton, Essex and went to university in York (England). I am a civil servant working in London.

I find wikipedia fascinating both as a concept and as a tool and have read it for many years, but only fairly recently became a contributor. I have made a start by editing several articles and have just submitted my first brand new contribution which is awaiting approval.

My main wikipedian interests are railways - especially in the Greater London area, Labour Party political figures, newspapers and thier development and history, and the villages of western Northamptonshire (where my ancestors came from), Essex and Kent.
