Drumgooland House
Drumgooland House is an estate historically comprising 995 acres adjacent to the parish of Seaforde, Co.Down and currently estimated at 467 acres arable exclusive of fishing and foresr. It is now in the ownership of the McKinstry Family, a scion of the McKinstry de la Poer Beresford and Coates baronets family branch. Eldest son David McKinstry.
Contents include the original study of Emma Hamilton as 'Fortune Teller', the Coates Hamburg (1840) silver service, the 1745 McKinstry annoted Jacobite prayer book, the 'lost Lawrence.' Reputedly the lost Louis Philippe gilt clock. The best pre-1860 example of a Muslim prayer rug. The very first example of a William de Morgan jug. Gardens registered as historic monument.
