Hi, I'm Dswitz10734. I'm an extended confirmed Wikipedia editor that joined on December 21, 2019, but I've had previous experience editing Wikipedia not signed up. I like to create and edit pages about Star Wars and keep other articles up to date. If you are an editor seeking adoption, or are looking for someone to help you if you are getting started on Wikipedia, leave a message on my talk page and I can help you find a mentor. [edit]Mission
[edit]My mission is to make Wikipedia reliable and defend Wikipedia's articles.
Everyone always says that Wikipedia isn't reliable. When a school project is assigned: "Don't use Wikipedia." However, Wikipedia is one of the most visited sites in the world, and people often look to Wikipedia for information. In fact, it's usually in the first result on Google. My goal is to make Wikipedia reliable adding citations to articles. If every sentence was cited, Wikipedia would not only be the most visited information site, but the most reliable, too. I understand that most of us are volunteers. I understand that Wikipedia would likely be more reliable if we were all professionals. But I also understand that we don't need to be professionals if we cite professional sources.
As for defending our articles, I mean this: Stopping Deletion. Yes, that deserves capitals. Wikipedia is free and meant to help people. If we keep deleting articles, the more content is gone from Wikipedia. People come to Wikipedia to learn, not to be disappointed about information that they're looking for not to be found. The good people at Project Rescue Squadron aim to help articles and protect them from deletion.
Please help me on my mission to make Wikipedia a better place. Visit User:Dswitz10734/Team Cite and Defend to join my mission.
