I am a wikipedian originally from Buffalo, New York, and have been living in Homer, Alaska for the past 33 years. I have not contributed a lot of material but want to add local Alaska history and information as time permits. Since retiring in 2009 I've traveled quite a bit and now spend most of my time in Thailand. I live in Chiang Mai for 8 months of the year and return to Homer for the summer months.
I started writing a blog when I first began traveling. It can be found at I'm Outta Here .Now that I spend so much of my free time working on Open Street Map (OSM) projects my other pursuits, including my blog, get less of my attention than in years past. I am a tennis fanatic, and am quite addicted to mapping and and GPS related activities. I also enjoy reading, photography, and bird watching.
