History
[edit]Snapfon was founded in 2003 in Chattanooga, TN by Phil Sieg and Rich Mak as a specialty cell phone provider for seniors, visually impaired, and hard of hearing clients in the USA. Originally started as Visikey, which sells large font keyboard overlays, the company soon extended its sales into senior phones to Latin markets and began offering its phones through local service providers in Latin America countries.

[edit]Snapfon EZ One is the primary phone offered and has features commonly found on senior phones including big buttons, emergency SOS button, amplified sound and large text. The phone is an unlocked GSM cell phone that works with any GSM provider worldwide. Snapfon sells its phones directly to consumers with or without service as well as through third party cell phone companies.
