Ayurveda is an ancient Indian Vedic Science in healthcare sector. In recent years, Ayurveda has become well practiced medicine stream in India. Ayurveda is based in on Atharva Veda. There are total 4 Vedas namely RigVeda, YajurVeda , SaamVeda and Atharva Veda. Atharva Veda mainly deals with the understanding of Natural forces which are not in human control like Solar, Wind, Lightining, Rain etc which affect human life and health. Atharva Veda also has descriptions on various herbs explaining their various medicinal uses. Ayurveda being a subtype of Atharva Veda explains health in details of anatomy, physiology, pathology, prodromata’s, methods of clinical examinations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, Humour based classification of human population, classification of disease types and subtypes, pharmacology, treatments, therapies of detoxification etc etc in details. Thus Ayurveda is a complete health science in itself which is useful in various acute, chronic diseases. In last few years various scientific researches have been carried out and research papers published at various university levels. Graduate, Masters and Ph.D. education is also available in India. This education course is recognised as parallel to Modern medical education.
