I've been a fan of Wikipedia for years. Some days I can spend hours here. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to "read" (look at pictures in) the Encyclopedia Britannica. I'd pick up a book and jump from random article to random article. I have the same love for Wikipedia. For example today I went from double entendre, to innuendo, to If U Seek Amy, to (sorry) F-U-C-K, and bounced back to edit If U Seek Amy and then ended at elocution.

I work in a medical office; last week I was reading blepharoplasty and I noticed something that wasn't at all correct; seeing the edit button, I decided to fix it. I then decided to set up my account rather than edit it anonymously. Whew! Is there an over-explain-ers anonymous? I should join if there is.

I love the edit summary feature. I wonder, is it common or necessary to use it in this setting though? Drawnedlac (talk) 22:00, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Generally edit summaries are always encouraged, unless the edit is minor. If it is a minor edit you should tick the minor edit box before you click save.

Linking

I just saw you edited a red link on if u seek amy. In hindsight, I over linked that article. I use more restraint in the future.

Links are one of my favorite features of WP. But I wonder: what's your opinion about place marking with red links. I've seen this done elsewhere, especially on developing pages, and wondered if they are left there to stimulate future article development. Research has suggested that allowing red links promotes article creation. I'm not opposed to allowing red links if there is a reasonable possibility that such an article could exist at Wikipedia. Note that some terms are more suited to our dictionary section. That said, linking of "common terms" is strongly discouraged. I guess you should take it on a case by case bases. Only link the word once in the entire article is my preference. — R² 23:21, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I know you are a fan of Michael Jackson's; I was sorry to hear about his passing earlier today as I'm sure you must be too. I just wanted to say even though I don't really know you, I'm thinking about you and hope you're alright.
