Carlton Rovers Football Club are an Australian football (soccer) based in Carlton, Sydney, New South Wales.
History
[edit]Carlton Rovers FC was formed in 1980 and joined the St George Soccer Football Association as a foundation member of the then newly formed Premier League competition. Carlton has enjoyed great success over many a year in the district's top flight of senior football with many campaigns as Semi Finalists, Grand Finalists and Champions. The great Carlton teams of the past have seen some of the best St. George District players represent, who over time built up a legacy that continues today of quality football played with passion. Rovers is widely regarded as the "Family Club" reflected by the life long friendships that characterize the Club, its Players and Supporters.
2008 Season
[edit]In 2008, Carlton Rovers FC returned to its home base at "Wembley" the picturesque Harold Fraser Reserve at Blakehurst and fielded competitve squads in the All Age A Squad and All Age C competitions and its new junior stars the U6 "Pups" were unleashed.
Our All Age A Squad achieved a unique double becoming Minor Premiers in both grades and ultimately winning promotion to elite Premier League in 2009. In addition, our AAA First Grade side won the 2008 Grand Final ensuring they could rightly lay claim to be the 2008 AAA Champions.
2009 Season
[edit]In 2009, our mighty Club celebrated its 30th year and once again competed in Premier League where it all began. Over these years we have been blessed to have seen some special talent whose efforts as players and Clubmen helped forge our legend. We celebrated this special year in fine style fielding 10 teams with 150 players including our first ever womens team resulting in Grand Final wins for AAA(R), AAB(R), AAW(C) and a galant Runners Up for our O35A's.
2010 Season
[edit]In 2010 our AAB Women won back to back Premierships and Grand Finals earning promotion to AAA. Our AAB(1) & AAC made a gallant effort in the semi series but fell in the Final. The Premier League squad struggled in 1st Round games with injuries and absences but hit their straps in 2nd round games to be the form teams but left their run too late. O35A's and AAA Squad have had better years and claimed some special scalps but not enough points to be there in mix.
2011 Season
[edit]In 2011 we are fielding 10 teams including our first junior competition team the U12A's to compliment our PL, AAA, AAB Squads and AAC, O35A and AAW1 teams. All our teams continue the competitive tradition of our Club's heritage taking on all challenges.

Home Ground - Harold Fraser Reserve
[edit]Located off Princes Highway Blakehurst adjacent to the SES Kogarah depot, is revered by all Clubs as one of the best football grounds in the St George District. Featuring a level and well maintained playing surface the vast open spaces allow for great open play and provides a real test of endurance and tactics for players and coaches alike.
Affectionately referred to as "Wembley" this is one ground you always look forward to playing on.
