Dr. Abdelaziz (Arabic: د. سامي عبد العزيز, born in September 18, 1953) is a prominent Egyptian PR & Media Expert. He has 40 years of experience in theoretical and practical application of Media, Advertising and Political and Social Marketing Communication. He graduated with honors from Cairo University in 1975 with a degree in Mass Communication. He pursued his Master’s degree in Local Media Activities in Cairo University in Egypt,1984 and later received his PhD degree in Mass Communication from Cairo University.

Career

In 1985-1995, owner of RAC: Research and Advertising Consultant. In 1995-2002, owner of Roya Marketing and Advertising. In the years 1977-2021, Professor and Communication Advisor, Department of Mass Communication in Cairo University in Egypt. In the year 2010-2011, Dean of Mass Communication in Cairo University. In 2002- 2021, Ex Chairman and CEO of TBWA Egypt. In 1992-1995, Communication Consultant for the Amiri Diwan of the State of Kuwait. In 1997-2009, Consultant for AMC which a company part of the Dalah Group, through this position he had supported the launch of ART and its distribution company. He also was judge in the committee of New York Festival that is formed from 20 experts around the globe in the field marketing and communication.

He supervised more than 50 Master thesis and Doctorates in Egyptian Universities in the field of Media and Marketing. Moreover, he worked in preparation and implementation of integrated media campaign that fight against addiction thus presenting treatment of addiction abuse for the benefit of Ministry of Social Solidarity. He was the advisor to the Ministry of Defense for establishing the Military Media Center. He was an advisor to the media and public relations program, media campaign, and opening ceremony of the New Suez Canal. In 2009- 2010, he worked in preparation and implementation of integrated media campaign for the benefit of the Egyptian Tax Authority. In 2014-2016, a Marketing Planner and Media consultant for Akhbar El Youm Economic Conference in Egypt. In 2014-present, a marketing, media, and political advisor to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information. He was also a consultant for the Audio-Visual Industry Chamber in Egypt. In 2016-2017, he worked as well in the preparation and implementation of integrated media campaign for the benefit of Economic Reform Program by the Central Bank of Egypt. He was a member of the Information organization committee in Egypt, advisor for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Egypt, Consultant at the Central Bank of Egypt, and Consultant for the Egyptian Government to handle the integrated marketing communication strategy for Egypt’s economic reform program.
