Arrayed Tales is considered an important source for the early history of Vietnam. At present, there are some fourteen handwritten copies of the text in Vietnam, with many differences between some of the versions.[1] It is not clear when most of these hand-written copies were produced, many of them contain a preface that purports to date from 1492 BCE.[2]
