Hello I like to accept your adoption offer, I hope this is the right place, I am bit confused still with all the different pages and stuff, I would like to contribute to the community as much as I can, I am both English and Portuguese so I would be able to do some translation work as well, I am confused as how effective wikipedia can be because one time I wrote an article it was much of a hassle since it got deleted even before I finished said article, also I tried translating before and again same problem things getting deleted even though I followed the guidelines for translation, so hopefully you can enlighten me and hopefully I learn with you how to write a good article that will actually stay in wikipedia. By the way my reasons for doing this is so that I learn more about the English language and so that I can help brigde the gap of content between the English wikipedia and the Portuguese one as well, also to help me write better articles which will benefit my writing since I am writing a book as well. Thanks for any help you can provide Quantumleaf (talk) 17:00, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- I have a quick question, the new section is not available to me in this page, but thats not the question, there a article which is missing important information but it is a very controversial article spiritism the brazilian version is more complete than the English version I can translate the missing info but will be a battle since it involves religion, should I make edits in small blocks at first? Or work the whole merger/translation offline and then save in one chunk? I am thinking small parts and see how well the new information its accepted, what do you think? Thanks again by the way.Quantumleaf (talk) 01:39, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Go ahead, be bold! It really doesn't matter which way you do it, but making edits in small blocks gives you a higher edit count. :) If anyone reverts your edits, take it to the talk page and civilly talk it over. I'll be watching over your edits. As for the "new section" button, it only appears on talk pages. As this is not a talk page, simply click "edit page" and add

If you want to write a great article, you might want to see Wikipedia:Article development first.
When I first started writing aritlces, I always had trouble citing references, so an easy way would be like this: <ref>[http://www.website.com Website Title] Date</ref>
. If you want to go more in-depth with citing, you should see Wikipedia:Citing sources.
Happy editing! -download | sign! 19:15, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would really recommend adding an informative edit summary on every single one of your edits. Not only does this look good on your edit record, it could prevent your edits from being seen as vandalism. Anything as simple as (adding) or (rmv content) could work. -download | sign! 21:03, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
