American author, banker, executive coach and business advisor. From his own LinkedIn profile we read:

I help already successful business owners and executives up-level their leadership abilities. I show you how to build a strong trust relationship in your work team. I am a coach and advisor for business managers who want to become better leaders

I help senior executives identify opportunities to become better leaders, guiding their teams to have better trust, using my Team Trust Model (see dougthorpe.com/teamtrust). Building trust is something people 'know' they should do, but figuring out HOW to do it is where I come in. By using the Team Trust model, we establish a framework and a process to build and monitor trust across a whole team.

Doug is known for his common sense approach to executive coaching and business advisory services. He has helped hundreds of business professionals with career changes, cultural change, and process improvements valued in excess of $10 billion. He is a 'been there done that' kind of coach, taking his 40+ years of front line leadership experience and wrapping it with coaching principles like those mandated by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

A native Texan, Doug was raised the only son of a single Mom. Her name was Ludelle or 'Lou.' Lou was the guiding influence in Doug's life, teaching him about mentoring and owning a small business. Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, Doug was inspired by the military aspects of life in San Antonio. During his early years, San Antonio was home to 5 military bases. He pursued a military career, joing his high school JROTC program. Later he was awarded an Army scholarship which he used to enroll at Texas A&M University, joining the nationally famous Corps of Cadets.
