Double Portion is a Christian duo consisting of Donny Fabian and Manny Cruz. The group was formed in September 2009 sharing the same vision, the call from God to reach the world with a message of love, hope and salvation, but more importantly, to reach the heart of God with true praise and worship.
In March 2010 Double Portion completed their first CD entitled "De Cerca." The CD contains music in the genre of praise and worship but with a modern and youthful touch. The 12 songs on the CD were written, arranged and composed by Donny and Manny. These two young men placed themselves in the hands of God unreservedly giving their time, resources and talent to make this project a reality.
Manny Cruz
[edit]Manny Cruz was born in Dallas Texas. At the tender age of ten years, Manny began to develop his musical talents in worship. Engaging in many local projects. By the age of fourteen, Manny had produced and co-written his first album "So Real." Manny has done musical arrangements for Michael Figeroua, Irvin "Pee Wee" Salinas, Paulina Rubio, Jon John, Art of Three, Elgin Johnson, Chris Fedom, Rodi Mendez, Gadiel Espinosa, Christian Tabernacle Choir, Kendrick Dial, Rigo Luna and Universal Music Group. Manny is a composer, writer, producer, singer and musician (bass, guitar and piano). But more importantly Manny is a worshiper. Dedicated entirely to the kingdom of God. He ministers in worship at Fountain of Life Apostolic Church in Miami, FL and previously at Christian Tabernacle in Santa Ana, California.
Donny Fabian
[edit]Donny Fabian was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Donny's talents have been honed over the years as one of the anointed worship leaders at Fountain of Life Apostolic Church in Miami, FL. This platform has given him the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and to countries such as Nicaragua, Mexico and Dominican Republic, ministering in praise and worship to God. Driven by his desire of sharing the gospel, Donny believes that worship is an important tool in leading people to Jesus. He is a singer, musician (pianist), writer, producer and talented composer. Donny has played or has worked with artists such as Gamaliel Ruiz, Pedro Miguel, Richie Ray, Esteban Mercedes, Omar Salas, Angela Vidal amongst others. Donny is currently the music director at Ebenezer United Methodist Church and at his home church Miami Apostolic Fountain of Life.
