This page demonstrates creation of a big interactive OpenStreetMap using all coordinates from multiple articles by use of wp:transclusion. To see, please click "Map all coordinates using OpenStreetMap" at right.
The places shown there are all places having coordinates in six lists of Sonoma County, California locations:
- Sonoma historic landmarks
- Santa Rosa historic landmarks
- List of historic landmarks in Petaluma
- Windsor historical landmarks
- Draft:Healdsburg Historic Structures and Districts, and
- Sonoma County Historic Landmarks and Districts
Note that right now (as of 2020-02-20) the OpenStreetMap view shows a few hundred locations in Sonoma County, plus one location oddly off the east, apparently due to incorrect coordinates for one place within the last list above.
I created this page based on example of List of United States federal courthouses (thanks BD2412!) which consists of 50 transcluded U.S. state-specific "source" pages, starting with List of United States federal courthouses in Alabama. The source pages use <onlyinclude> and </onlyinclude> tags to indicate which section of each source article should be transcluded into the big list of courthouses. I created this just now, towards serving an editor in Sonoma County who might be interested, related to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sonoma County Historical Society list of landmarks.
This is actually a very short/small page (only about 2,000 bytes), with no coordinates or other raw data residing here. Appearing below are tables which aren't really here...they cannot be edited here. They are transcluded from the above-listed pages, where the raw information exists and can be edited.
NOTHING TO SEE, from here on...the point is the above-linked "Map of all coordinates"! --Doncram (talk) 17:32, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
