Henry Fawcett
Henry Fawcett, son of the Yorkshire gentleman Myles Fawcett of Upper Hesleden[1], was an influential wool merchant who rose to a prominent position in Norwich at the end of the 16th century.
Henry Fawcett became Sheriff of Norwich in 1608 and was made an Alderman of the town in 1614[2]. Remembered for his generosity to the poor, Henry Fawcett is considered to be an important benefactor to the city of Norwich[3].
