OUR DOGS is a weekly newspaper devoted to the subject of pedigree dogs and was first published in Manchester in 1895 by Theo Marples, a close friend of Mr Charles Cruft of the famous Crufts Dog Show. For many years the publication was owned by generations of the Marples family until 1985 when the title was bought by Johnston Press. OUR DOGS returned to private ownership in 1994 and remains as the worlds only weekly canine newspaper. The paper carries regular articles covering dog shows and events principally in the UK and Ireland but also internationally.
