  • JD was born in Goleta, CA 5/24/1974.
  • JD attended Montgomery Blair HS in Silver Springs, MD where he participated in the Communication Arts Program.
  • JD maintained the Net Abuse FAQ on Usenet in the 90s, though not the original author[1]
  • JD, along with Bill Woodcock, played a role in creating early spam legislation with California state Assembly Bill AB 1676, signed into law in 1998.[2]
  • JD was a founder of CAUCE, and a board member since its inception in 1997[3]
  • JD was a founding member, chairman of the technical committee, chairman of the program committee, chief document editor, and member of the Board of Directors of MAAWG[4]
