Reception
[edit]In December 2014, amateur vaporwave musician Wolfenstein OS X called the album "a pleasant array of choppy, repetitive droning noise that I have never really heard before."[2] In their 2015 documentary Vaporwave: A Brief History, they described the album as "the effect is essentially digitalized noise to mimic the sounds of the ocean and early 90's alternative rock similar to Sonic Youth or My Bloody Valentine. It puts the listener in a trance while simultaneously creating a bizarre droning sense of unease."[3]
