Big Bang DBT is a Cedar Rapids, IA hip hop group.
Big Bang DBT consist of 5 artist, plus their producer, and their Dj. Tone Da Boss, DaChaMan, Zaya, Tuff Laun, and Amtrak are the artist. Their producer Tony T. has produced and engineered all their albums, and Dj Bryan Lee has been recently added as their official Dj. Life long friends came together back in 2002 and have made multiple mixtapes the first was The Lost Tracks which featured their first group song Dreams and Bring Me Your Body.
The next cd was the Big Bang Collabo 2003 with songs like "Me, Stuffed in the Trunk, Second Chance, and Imma Be Thuggin". In 2004 Big Bang took it up a notch and released a DVD with a Soundtrack called Shank DVD selling over 1000 copies locally. In 2005 Big Bang released a mixtape called the Derrty Money Mixtape with hits like Rollin Deep, Anywhere, What Do You Do, and Even Though. In 2006 Big Bang released the Guerilla City Mixtape with the Thizz Song, Throw it Up, and alot more.
In 2007 Big Bang released probably their fastest and most popular cd in the city T, D, and J Street Anthems, which is the trio of Tone Da Boss, DaChaMan, and Jory James collectively, with singles like These Streets, Thats the way the game goes, and Life in the Hands of A Judge. Big Bang also collaborated with their first industry artist on there when 40 Glocc reached out to the crew to remix their My City track and even gave Spider Locc a verse. In 2008 Tone Da Boss released his solo album "It's Tone" with singles like "Be A Boss, Vacation, and Making this Dough" which was their first video which opened up doors for opening act shows with artist like Murphy Lee, Twista, and an even a Warner Bros record deal offer.
In 2009 the group changed the game up with the K-Hood Community Knowledge (a play on Kirkwood Community College the school they attend) with crazy creative songs like Donkey Kong, Low Again, and their biggest single ever Spongebob Ready! Once the single took off online, the group made a dance along with the video which has received not only 50,000+ youtube plays, several mixtape slots, won multiple contest, and recognition by some of the biggest Dj's across the nation. In 2010 the group released their new cd hosted by Dj Ill Will and Dj Woogie the self titled album "We Are Big Bang". This album featured a Spongebob Ready remix featuring Lil Chuckee of Lil Wayne's label Young Money, Multiplatinum selling artist Young Buck, and their new single Polo which video was shot in HD in New York. On a high roll towards success their music began to not only be featured on several mixtapes but also major websites weekly such as hotnewhiphop.com, allhiphop.com, and hiphopdx.com.
This year Big Bang released their second big release online The Bangover hosted by Dj White Owl and Dj Bryan Lee which features Platinum selling artist Lil Flip, The king of Rap Battles himself Murda Mook, and even a track with over 19 features such as Royce Da 5'9, Murphy Lee and more. To this day their singles get thousands of downloads online off of iTunes as well as Myxer, all their shows are sold out and they are opening up for major artist every other week. Currently working on T, D, and J 2 and prepping a release for another release hosted by Dj Woogie off his Streets on Beats series.
