My name is Dmitriy Babichenko. I am a lecturer (Professor of Practice) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Sciences. I have extensive industry experience in software engineering, software architecture design, and IT project management.
Before I came to the School of Information Sciences, I worked for 7 years at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine developing educational systems for medical students. This experience carried over into my research interests, which include decision support systems, machine learning, and serious games.
In 2014 I also began working on my PhD in the area of decision support systems and Bayesian networks under the guidance of Dr. Marek Druzdzel.
