I am the best: I would never have engaged in any of the original research that you used as a set up for this scenario. If I were writing a WP biography of this person I would base it on published reliable sources, not on my private investigations or the second-hand accounts of 'a friend who knows the Dean'. However, if I did somehow come into posession of this knowledge, I would look for collobaration from reliable sources so that the article could be updated.

Ghost in the machine: These articles should look like any other WP article. They should be based on citations to published reliable sources, if there are any, if not, it should be marked for deletion.
Take me to your Leader Extraterrestrial Shape-shifting Reptile: The disruptive editor or editors should simply be banned from WP.
Related to a saint: There really no confusion or lack of clarity in the applicable policies in this case. "What is fair to Oacan? ... Should Wikipedia go with the published material from reliable sources, even if it hurts this editor's feelings?" huh? you're joking, right?
