Irons In The Fire
Irons In The Fire is a Hip-Hop group based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. The group consists of 3 artists: Rorshach (aka Dirty Napz), Tusk One, and Brad B- 20+ years in the game, these dudes are no newcomers. All 3 members (originally from Indy), spent quite a bit of time living in Tempe, Arizona- where they helped establish a community of underground Hip-Hop, through building with other local talent, doing weekly gigs, house parties, etc. Most notably, Brad B’s first group was a hip hop live band called ‘Drunken Immortals’, and eventually him and drummer/super producer ‘Foundation’ formed ‘The Insects’- Meanwhile, Dirty Napz and Tusk One (aka The Feeblez), who would eventually add a strong 3rd member named ‘Ether One’, were making music in rugged Naptown dungeons. They would soon be reacquainted with Brad whenever he was in town, and after doing some songs together, and the release of their second album, decided to make the move to AZ... After some time of making moves in the Southwest, and being key pieces in the indie music scene, a collective known as ‘Blow Up Co-Op’ formed. ‘Blow Up Co-Op’ was an entourage of groups, emcees, deejays, artists, dancers, etc. To name a few: ‘Drunken Immortals’, ‘Morse Code’, ‘The Feeblez’, ‘Jawa’, ‘AOTA’, ‘Antedote’ DJ’s ‘Skip Skoolnik’, Just Chris’, ‘Pickster One’, ‘DJ Saurus’, Artist ‘DumperFoo’- record label ‘Universatile Music’ (UM)- Activist/Clothing Line ‘Mob Action’ and many others who were involved with this movement. A monthly would eventually occur in downtown Phoenix at the ‘The Old Brickhouse’, where some some pretty big names would perform (‘Talib Kweli’, ‘MF DOOM’, and many others)- Other weekly events that are notable were ‘Bonzai Bumrush’, ‘Kill Mill’ (on Mill Avenue), and ‘Raising Arizona’, where once again a lot of bigger underground names would come perform (‘2MEX’, ‘SHAPESHIFTERS’, ‘OLD DOMINION’, ‘MUSAB’, ‘STYLES OF BEYOND’, etc.)-
Each member would slowly migrate back to Indy after all the success they had living in the desert, and are now poised to create probably the sickest album they have ever done. All beats produced by ‘Rorshach’ (aka ‘Dirty Napz’), with his infatuation of hard hitting drums, and soulful melodies that he creates on the ASR-10 and MPC 2000 XL, this new project is sure to have heads nodding- STAY TUNED-
