Historical Society of the New York Courts The Historical Society of the New York Courts was founded in 2002 by then New York State Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye with the goals of preserving the historically significant contributions and achievements of the New York legal system, and providing learning resources to schools across New York. Their records now include biographies of notable judges and lawyers, oral records, notable courthouse designs, and a overview of legal history in New York by era.
