Article Review
[edit]I visited the Clan MacLean of Duart page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of the page that seemed to be incorrect including the lack of information of the land that the clan came from (The Isle of Mull), there are limited citations of documentation leading back to the country of origin, and minor confusion of wording when describing the clan symbols.
The Isle of Mull
[edit]The isle of mull had a significant part to do in the history of the MacLean family including the invasion of Clan Campbell, what were the benefits to the clan for choosing such a location geologically, and the occupation of Tiree and Coll.
Origin Documentation
[edit]Little documentation is listed giving the origin of the Clan, including where they are from and significant movements from Scotland to other areas making the following of the clans history to now difficult to follow.
Grammar
[edit]In the second to last paragraph of the page about the Clan and their Banners that were made, the statement that was used seemed to not follow conventions leaving the statement feeling that it is missing a connecting detail that splits the sentence into two thoughts.
Summary
[edit]Overall I would say that the article is moderate in its content. it does not quite cover all of the information that would adequately describe the clan and their significance throughout history. There are some forms of information missing like the family's Tartan and Scottish Crest that would greatly emphasize their heritage and family pride.
