From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello everybody, this is my English Wikipedia page. Yes, you all might have seen the word "Weißwurscht" (spelled correctly, it should be "Weißwurst", but I chose the Bavarian way of writing ;)) before. It is the delicious Bavarian delicacy many people (including many of the Anglo-American part of our globe) usually throw up after their tenth "Maß" beer in Munich during September at the notorious Wies'n. To change the "ß" in Weißwuscht to "s" and then add an "e" in Brackets results in another genius word-play: "weise" means wise in German, so what better thing is there in the world, may I ask? A Weißwurscht full of wisdom! So hopefully, due to my work on Wikipedia, I can expand my knowledge and become wise some day and still keep my appetite for Weißwürscht (Bavarian plural of "Weißwurst").

But enough with the German humour. Thanks to a seminar at uni, I was introduced to the complex topic that is Wikipedia. For this course, I'm currently working on German Wiki-page of Carthage (my focus of interest is on the excavations at Carthage), but also anything related (for example the page of Jean Emile Humbert, the first person to have initiated an archeological expedition to Carthage) and that's how I winded up in the English community. For any tipps or comments concerning my work here I'm of course very grateful!
