I'm new to Wikipedia. Don't know how much editing I'll actually get done, but I figured it would be nice to be able to put some objective input on a few of the discussions that arise on certain pages.
My main interests (and therefore the bulk of my knowledge) are in literature, music, religion, and history. I'm strictly apolitical and perhaps even anarchist (though I do acknowledge the problems of anarchy as a real-world solution to government, anyone who tries to excercise authority over me better have a really big gun and the will to use it).
Favorite authors include: Homer, Plato, Ovid, Virgil, Dante Alighieri, Renee Descartes, John Milton, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien; with Stephen King, comic books, and manga being guilty pleasures.
Musical tastes range from classical (Mozart), to blues, to early rock'n'roll (Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry), to various subgenres of punk (punk, hardcore punk, psychobilly, and early Seattle grunge).
Religions studied include Christianity (forced baptist indoctrination til 16) and it's history, Judaism, Hinduism, Bhuddhism, paganism, and neo-paganism. Please note that these are merely subjects of study and not faiths I practice/have practiced. I have also done specialized study in various "Christian" sub-sects such as The Watchtower Society and the Church of Latter Day Saints. If one must use my religious beliefs to ascertain whether I'm being non-POV in any regard, I describe myself as a Zen Christian when I feel the need to label my beliefs at all.
History is tied into all my interests.
