[edit]Prior to it's nationwide release in North America Jupiter Ascending, analysts predicted the film would earn a gross between an estimated $21 to $23 million and it would fight for the second rank with American Sniper in box office for its opening three day weekend of February 6, 2015. The film is predicted to open second to the title, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water which is set to open at the same date. According to Boxofficemojo, the bar of success for the film being set at $30 million. The film also features in the list of "The Riskiest Box Office Bets of 2015" published by screenrant.com.[30]
