Things I'm Working On
[edit]I have a fascination of local history, both community and family. Over the years I've gathered a lot of "stuff" about my own family but I struggle with how best to preserve and share it with others; I suspect other self-proclamied family historians struggle with similar issues. My particular family's roots are pretty deep in the small town of Clayton, Indiana and its surrounding area. One day, while messing with Google Earth I found a file that documented the Dutch History and it got my juices flowing. So, I'm using Google Earth as a graphical front-end to document the Mill Creek Community. I then link from the Google Earth "Points" I create to other Web sites as well as to the Wikipedia articles I hvae begun developing. My hope is that others who share an interest in the Mill Creek Community will join my efforts.

[edit]Mr. Harrold,
I hope I am posting in the correct location for you to receive this. I have been friends with Shawn, your son, I do believe for quite some time. I have lived in Amo for the past 18 years or so. I would love to come see your collection of local artifacts. I have just recently learned a little about National Notes and wondered if there were such a monster for Amo, IN. Obviously there is and that is how I came about your site. My wife had worked directly with Shawn when he was at West Elementary, which is where I got to know him also. If you ever have spare time and don't mind company, I would love to come talk to you and see how impossible it will be for me to locate and afford an official Amo National Note. My name is Dave, my wife's name is Lori, I think you know her, but drop me a line if and when you get a chance and want to. My email address is DEstes001@aol.com, I would love to hear from you.
