European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande

[edit]

The Sherry Cup is held over 72 holes, with the best three cards each day counting towards the team event. The individual competition runs concurrently with the European Nations Championship. The champion collects the Gold Sherry Wine Trophy and the Amateur Masters Jacket. If the championship ends in a tie, one player per team is nominated to compete in a sudden-death play-off.[25]

Known as The Sherry Cup until 2006 after the tournament’s then Jerez wine sponsor,

RCG Sotogrande is the permanent home of the European Nations Cup and 2023 wias the 15th playing of the event. It is a 72 hole stroke play Team and Individual competition.[26]
