Lars William Axelsson Tervonen (born 23 October 2002) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan.[1]
Early life
[edit]Born and raised in Stockholm, Axelsson Tervonen started to play youth football with local club Hammarby IF in 2007, at age five.[2]
In 2021, Axelsson Tervonen captained the Hammarby squad that finished second in the P19 Allsvenskan, after a 2–1 loss to IFK Göteborg in the national final. The side also competed in the 2021–22 UEFA Youth League, getting knocked out by Rangers in the first round through 1–5 on aggregate. At the end of the season, Axelsson Tervonen was one of the three finalists for P19 Allsvenskan Midfielder of the Year, an award that eventually went to Noah Persson from Mjällby AIF.[3]
Club career
[edit]Hammarby IF
[edit]In 2022, Axelsson Tervonen made 12 appearances for Hammarby's feeder team Hammarby TFF in Sweden's third tier Ettan, helping his side to finish 6th in the table.[4] On 14 August the same year, in a 4–2 away win against Umeå FC, he suffered a severe cruciate ligament injury that cut his season short.[5]
