Member of the communications team of the University of Innsbruck

My colleagues recently founded the Wikimedia Science Communication Network (WiSciCoN). We from the University of Innsbruck are committed to Open Science, Open Access and Open Science Communication. We are committed to the use, design and promotion of non-profit, privacy-friendly and open-source media.

We support Wikipedia, its sister projects Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata and other Wikimedia projects. We have started a cooperation with Wikimedia Austria and build a network with Wikipedians, such as the Tyrolean meeting. We are very interested in exchanging ideas with other participants. We would like to motivate people to contribute to Wikipedia. We want to create synergies. Initiatives to strengthen free knowledge, open science communication and the open transfer of knowledge are in the making.

My account is primarily used for networking and collaboration with WP:participants, less for managing and creating articles and uploading multimedia content related to topics, scientists and research at the University of Innsbruck under Creative Commons licenses. Of course, I am committed to the WP:N and WP:fundamental principles.
