Life and career

[edit]

The Park

[edit]

The Park, based out of San Francisco, have made a career out of providing a rhythm section for various artists. The group, made up of Derek Taylor on drums, Josh Lippi on bass, Ben Schwier on keys, and Nate Mercereau and Steve Wyreman on guitars, have been all over the world and back again playing with Alice Russell, Darondo, Grillade, Blitz the Ambassador, Jesse Boykins III, Freddie Gibbs, BIG K.R.I.T., Wallpaper, Nino Moschella, Mara Hruby, Chuck Prophet and more. The Park has released two EPs of original material and worked as session musicians for many artists.

Recording Career

[edit]

As bassist for The Park, A Million Billion Dying Suns, and many more projects, Lippi began the process after spending eight months on the road with several acts, self-recording all the instruments in "The Torta Oven", where The Park and A Million Billion Dying Suns have recorded much of their material. Two solo tracks from Lippi ("Sirens" and "Tear Me Down") were both fuzzy and appropriately bass heavy rock and roll.[1]
