The Thruway Plaza is an outdoor power center in Cheektowaga, New York. Originally an outdoor mall, it opened as the Thruway Mall in the 1950s[when?] and was enclosed in 1975.[1] The mall closed completely in the 1990s,[when?] and was replaced by the current outdoor plaza when it was redeveloped by Benderson Development. Current tenants of the plaza include Tops Friendly Markets and the Home Depot among other stores.
