Personal life
[edit]Raju Singh was born into a Punjabi family on 03rd April 1969 in Mahim, Mumbai. He was born to father Charanjit Singh,
Indian Music industry for his caliber and for association with the likes of R.D. Burman and Shankar Jaikishan . Raju Singh, thus, didn't take much time, to imbibe the music.
Guitar was his consistent companion in school and college. He is married to Sherley Singh and has a son Joshua and daughter Rachel.
Early beginnings and music albums
[edit]His initial training in music was under Mentor Uttam Singh. In the year 1986 (at the age of 17), he worked under music director Uttam Singh as a session guitarist and also
polished his skill set at arranging music & programming the drum machine.
He then went on to play the guitar and drum machine for industry stalwart R.D. Burman
His first venture with “Aadesh Shrivastav” for the instrumental album “Power of Music” for a very new music company then, named ‘Venus’, went on to gain massive popularity.[2]
Raju Singh’s next collaboration was with “Tarlochan Singh Bilga”, sung by Malkit Singh of ‘Hai Jamalo’ fame called “I Love Golden Star” turned out to be quite a rage, in the
underground circles in Britain.
Raju Singh embarked on a journey to fulfil his musical legacy in Bollywood at an early age.
Some of his early compositions include of serials like "Dekh Bhai Dekh", "Filmi Chakkar", "Aahat", "Boogie Woogie(TV series)" "Chalti Ka Naam Antakashri", "Sunday ke
Sunday", "Daal Mein Kala", "C.I.D", "Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai", "Khullja Sim Sim" and many more.[3]
Despite his firm contacts in Bollywood he preferred working on his own and the result was his very first album "Koi Baat Nahin". It impressed Javed Akhtar so much that he got
ready to work with him in "Tum Yaad Aaye".[4]

opening act of DLF IPL 5, a recitation of a Prasoon Joshi poetry by Amitabh Bachchan, titled "Janm yadi phir se mile", an ode to the cricket lovers of the country, was performed
on 3rd April, 2012 in Chennai. The music track was composed by Raju Singh, with Tamil vocals by Sowmya Raoh. The Tamil lyrics were written by Vijay Raghavan. The act was
choreographed by Shiamak Davar. The event was designed by Wizcraft International.
